ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES
PUBLIC EDUCATION:
Classes on
boating techniques and safety offered on a
scheduled basis throughout the year in Washington. Special
classes are available to meet local needs, including YOUTH CLASSES:
Classes designed to educate children, K-3, boating safety and water
safety.
VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS:
Free safety checks offered to
recreational boaters on their boats, for their benefit. Vessel
Safety checks are
not
reported to
Coast Guard
or local law enforcement.
MULTI-MISSION PATROLS:
Surface patrols on navigable and
local waters to promote safety awareness, assist boaters in
distress, save lives and property and perform disaster relief
operations as well as air patrols to provide logistical support,
Search and Rescue (SAR) missions, and Maritime Safety & Marine
Observation missions.
REGATTA SUPPORT
MISSION:
Assist sponsors
of large marine events in crowd control and spectator safety.
